Audit Wizard
The problem (s)
$2.2 Billion stolen by hackers in 2024 alone and an increase in hacks year on year. Web3 teams and devs commonly rely on infrequent (1-2 times per year) and expensive (20-100k) audits and the dev tools available are very limited. Devs also have to juggle multiple security tools with generally poor UX/UI, tedious installs and steep learning curves. Who has the time for this? Devs should be able to easily secure code in-browser by integrating the best security tools under one roof. No installs, no steep learning curves and no more breaking the bank.
As the founding designer on the team I've spent the past 2 years researching, designing and marketing Audit Wizard from 0 to 6000+ web3 auditors and developers. All our features and tools were based on lots of user research (interviews, surveys, session captures, data analysis) and scoped down to quickly shippable MVPs before learning from initial usage and iterating again. Many of these tools were first to market like our static analysis scanners, 1-click imports, AI powered Foundry testing, Sentry reports and much more.
We built this to solve a very serious and painful series of threats affecting millions of people so wanted the design to instil trust and professionalism. That being said, our target users (devs) share a love for the world of gaming and sci-fi literature so we wanted to infuse playful touches of this into our branding and UI to provide moments of delight where appropriate. It was a fine balance and a fun challenge!
I designed the branding and every feature and component in the app from the Alpha phase through to Beta and finally our Prod level platform. As the app matured I built a comprehensive design system to stay consistent and empower my team mates with the ability to design new experiences too.
